    Description

    A FR. 1226 Third Issue - Three Cents (3c) fractional.   Third Issue notes were issued from December 5, 1864 to August 16, 1869.  This is the variety with a light background to the George Washington portrait.  These were the only 3 cent notes in fractional currency.
    This mid-grade Very Fine note has no pinholes or tears.
