This wonderful collectible piece is in pretty good condition, considering the age. The actual (truer) color is closer to the first photo shown here.
Antique Paper Money Fifty 50 Cent Fractional Currency 1869 to 1875, Post Civil War Bill Note, John Allison Signature, 1801 Treasury Date.
In addition to the dates listed on the front of the bill, it is signed by John Allison, the register, with a treasury date of 1801 on the face of the bill. On the back right corner it says Act June 30 1864, with another date
of March 3,1863 on the back as well, in the upper left corner, making this monetary piece, great for a collection approximately,143 years old.
There is a very small split and the top of the bill just between the U and N in united in part to creasing at   some point in time, other than that, it seems to be a fairly good item for the collector.
